Introduction
MINDS UNLIMITED Afterschool and Summer Camp program is a cornerstone initiative of the Southeast Bronx Neighborhood Centers, Inc. (SEBNC), a dedicated nonprofit multi-service agency with a proud history of over 90 years.
Nestled in the heart of the Morrisania section of the Bronx, SEBNC operates 20 diverse programs across 13 locations, enriching the lives of approximately 4,000 community members, including infants, toddlers, children, youth, and developmentally disabled children and adults.
At MINDS UNLIMITED, we are committed to providing vital services to children aged 5-12 living in Morrisania’s disenfranchised communities. Our goal is to enhance their quality of life and empower individuals and families through comprehensive and engaging programs.

Afterschool Program:
September to June
Running from September through June, our Afterschool Program operates Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We understand the importance of a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and socially.
Our program offers:
@ Day Habilitation Programs
- Homework Tutoring and Assistance: Dedicated tutors help children with their schoolwork, fostering academic success.
- STEM Activities: Interactive science, technology, engineering, and math projects stimulate curiosity and critical thinking.
- Sports and Physical Activities: Encouraging physical fitness and teamwork through various sports.
- Cooking Classes: Teaching essential life skills and healthy eating habits.
- Arts and Crafts: Cultivating creativity and self-expression through diverse artistic endeavors.
- Nutritious Snacks and Hot Meals: Ensuring children receive healthy, balanced nutrition to support their growth and development.
Summer Camp:
July to August
During the summer months of July and August, our program expands to a full-day schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing an exciting and enriching environment while school is out.
Our Summer Camp includes:
- STEM Exploration: Hands-on projects and experiments that make learning fun and engaging.
- Art and Creativity: Encouraging children to explore their artistic talents through various mediums.
- Cooking Adventures: Fun and interactive cooking sessions that promote healthy eating and culinary skills.
- Exciting Trips: Organized outings to local attractions that provide educational and recreational experiences.
- Games and Sports: Plenty of outdoor and indoor games to keep children active and entertained.
